Bucko, Chief Lover

"The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness"
-John Muir

"The Great Spirit is in all things, he is in the air we breathe.
The Great Spirit is our Father, but the Earth is our Mother.
She nourishes us, that which we put into the ground, she returns to us."
-Big Thunder

My Beloved Mother Earth

Nothing has given me more joy, peace, and healing
than my beloved Mother Earth

I identify so strongly with those who truly understand and love
the miracle gifts of nature

And I grieve
as I see it raped, ignored, and left to die

Yet I embrace not the rigid stands
of radical environmentalists or preservationists

I seek a new higher way...
where everyone benefits

I seek not a return to the old...
but transcension to yet unimagined new

I seek dreams that appear impossible...
and the miracles to manifest them

I seek weaving technology and nature...
in a marriage of seeming enemies

I seek to dance with the spirits of nature...
in a celebration of heaven and earth

I seek love of every piece and particle...
of this magic we call life

I seek life

Imagine...
unlimited energy and water...
replacing the need to dam wilderness rivers and canyons

Imagine...
unlimited materials for building...
replacing the need to clear wilderness forests

Imagine...
unlimited clean fuels...
replacing polluting and limited fossils fuels

Imagine...
a transportation equivalent to the internet...
replacing cars, trucks, trains, and planes

Imagine...
healing of ANYTHING...
just by wishing it

These are just the start of very possible dreams...
in the very near future

We could restore John Muir's beloved Hetch Hetchy

We could uncover the breathtaking beauty of Glen Canyon

We could rebuild the mighty redwood forests

We could let go of fighting Islamic oil countries

We could travel anywhere at will

We could do anything we want!

Is there a catch?

Yes...
it's called responsibility
and love
